- Motor eléctrico — tiene como parte. One or more electric motors turn the wheels.
- Batería de tracción — tiene como parte. Energy is stored in the traction battery.
- Reductor — tiene como parte. A single-speed reduction gear usually replaces the gearbox.
- Freno de automóvil — tiene como parte. Besides regeneration, ordinary friction brakes are needed.
- Suspensión — tiene como parte. The suspension is the same as in an ordinary car.
- Neumático — tiene como parte. An electric car’s wheels have pneumatic tyres.
- Inversor — tiene como parte. An inverter powers the traction motor.
- Motor de inducción — tiene como parte. The Tesla Model S had an induction motor.
- Imán de neodimio — tiene como parte. Synchronous traction motors use neodymium magnets.
- Frenado regenerativo — utiliza. When braking, the motor works as a generator and returns energy to the battery.
- Estación de carga — utiliza. It charges at charging stations.
