What fuel cell is made of
Produces current directly from the reaction of hydrogen with oxygen (Grove).
- Proton exchange membrane — has part. It lets protons through, but not electrons.
- Anode (graphite) — has part. An anode with a catalyst for hydrogen.
- Cathode (lithium metal oxide) — has part. A cathode for oxygen.
- Hydrogen — uses. The fuel is hydrogen.
- Electrochemical reaction — uses. The reaction runs electrochemically, without combustion.
- Catalysis — uses. A platinum catalyst.
- Platinum — is made of. A platinum catalyst.
