Producing aluminium by electrolysis of molten alumina.
- Electrolysis — uses. Electrolysis of a melt.
- Electrical grid — uses. It needs enormous amounts of electricity.
- Carbon — uses. The electrodes for smelting aluminium are carbon — they slowly burn away.
