- Bifacially knapped stone surface — a pour partie. Flaking on both sides gives a symmetrical edge.
- Sharp stone edge — a pour partie. A sharp edge around the perimeter.
- Wedge — utilise. The cutting edge of a hand axe works like a wedge.
- Flint — est fait de. Hand axes were flaked from flint on both sides.
