A thrown weapon with a barbed point.
- Barbed harpoon head — hat als Teil. Barbs keep the prey from slipping off.
- Wooden shaft — hat als Teil. A stick for throwing or striking.
- Rope — hat als Teil. A line connects the head to the hunter.
- Wedge — nutzt. A barbed point enters like a wedge and does not come back out.
- Knochen — ist hergestellt aus. The oldest harpoons (Katanda, ~90,000 years ago) are carved from bone.
