- Windlass — nutzt. The bucket was raised with a windlass.
- Shaduf — nutzt. Or with a well sweep.
- Rope — nutzt. Water was raised with a bucket on a rope.
- Stone — ist hergestellt aus. The walls of wells were lined with stone.
