Well shaft — has part. A vertical shaft down to the aquifer.
Log well frame — has part. Shoring the walls against collapse.
Well head — has part. The part above ground that keeps out contamination.
Wooden bucket — has part. It scoops up water.
Windlass — uses. The bucket was raised with a windlass.
Shaduf — uses. Or with a well sweep.
Rope — uses. Water was raised with a bucket on a rope.
Stone — is made of. The walls of wells were lined with stone.
