The first controlled powered aeroplane flight.
- Roller chain — tem como parte. The propellers were driven from the engine by bicycle chains — the Wrights were bicycle makers.
- Wing warping — utiliza. Roll was controlled by wing warping.
- Wind tunnel — utiliza. The Wrights built their own wind tunnel.
- Railway track — utiliza. The Flyer had no wheels: it took off along a wooden rail.
- Wood — é feito de. The frame is spruce and ash.
- Algodão — é feito de. The covering is muslin.
- Alumínio — é feito de. The engine crankcase is cast aluminium.
- Steel — é feito de. The Flyer's wires, bracing and engine parts were steel.
