Amboss und Analytische Maschine: was sie gemeinsam haben

1. Schritt 1. Amboss — wird verwendet in — Forge. Forging on an anvil.
2. Schritt 2. Forge — hat als Teil — Blasebalg. Bellows fan the fire of the forge.
3. Schritt 3. Blasebalg — ist Teil von — Player piano. Pedal bellows create suction.
4. Schritt 4. Player piano — funktioniert wie — Jacquard loom. A perforated medium controls a machine — a weaving one in one case, a musical one in the other.
5. Schritt 5. Jacquard loom — inspirierte — Analytische Maschine. Babbage borrowed Jacquard’s punched cards directly for entering operations and data; Ada Lovelace compared the machine to the Jacquard loom.
