Bicycle and tank: what they have in common
- Step 1. Bicycle — has part — Bicycle drivetrain. The drivetrain transfers the force of the legs to the rear wheel — the main difference from a kick scooter.
- Step 2. Bicycle drivetrain — has part — Sprocket. The front and rear sprockets set the gear ratio.
- Step 3. Sprocket — is part of — Continuous track. The drive sprocket engages the track and pulls it round — just as a bicycle sprocket pulls the chain.
- Step 4. Continuous track — is part of — Tank. Tracks let a tank cross trenches and rough ground.
