Hydrogen energy and gas lamp: what they have in common
- Step 1. Hydrogen energy — uses — Electrolyser. Producing hydrogen.
- Step 2. Electrolyser — has part — Rectifier. A direct-current supply.
- Step 3. Rectifier — is part of — LED lamp. The driver in the base rectifies mains current and limits the LED current; in an ordinary bulb it has no transformer.
- Step 4. LED lamp — evolved from — Incandescent light bulb. It replaced incandescent bulbs.
- Step 5. Incandescent light bulb — evolved from — Gas lamp. Electricity displaced gas lighting.
