Usenet e mechanical clock: o que têm em comum

1. Passo 1. Usenet — utiliza — Modem. The first nodes were linked by modems.
2. Passo 2. Modem — tem como parte — Processador de sinais digitais. Signal processing in high-speed modems.
3. Passo 3. Processador de sinais digitais — faz parte de — Ultrasound scanner. Forming the image.
4. Passo 4. Ultrasound scanner — utiliza — Piezoelectric effect. A piezo transducer.
5. Passo 5. Piezoelectric effect — é utilizado em — Quartz clock. The quartz resonator vibrates thanks to the piezoelectric effect.
6. Passo 6. Quartz clock — evoluiu de — Mechanical clock. Quartz clocks replaced mechanical ones: a vibrating quartz crystal took the place of the pendulum and balance.
