Press platen y Máquina analítica de Babbage: qué tienen en común

1. Paso 1. Press platen — forma parte de — Prensa de tornillo. It transfers the force to the material.
2. Paso 2. Prensa de tornillo — forma parte de — Imprenta de Gutenberg. Gutenberg adapted the screw press known from pressing grapes.
3. Paso 3. Imprenta de Gutenberg — funciona como — Telar Jacquard. An analogy, not proven influence: both set type and a chain of punched cards are a replaceable pattern that a machine reproduces over and over.
4. Paso 4. Telar Jacquard — inspiró — Máquina analítica de Babbage. Babbage borrowed Jacquard’s punched cards directly for entering operations and data; Ada Lovelace compared the machine to the Jacquard loom.
