De Laval nozzle and aerosol can: what they have in common
- Step 1. De Laval nozzle — uses — Venturi effect (Bernoulli’s principle). The nozzle accelerates the gas.
- Step 2. Venturi effect (Bernoulli’s principle) — is used in — Carburettor. In the throat of the venturi the pressure drops and draws in petrol.
- Step 3. Carburettor — has part — Valve. A throttle valve in the carburettor sets how much fuel-air mix reaches the engine.
- Step 4. Valve — is part of — Aerosol can. A valve.
